Punjab got its first ever amphibious bus in Amritsar last December. Get ready to sail on this amphibious bus and also adorn the beautiful scenery that surrounds.
That’s right, while the rest of India was moaning about cash crunch, Punjab Tourism released the Amphibious Bus in Amritsar.
The bus takes off from Amritsar and halts at Harike, the largest wetland of North India. On the 4 Km long ride on the Amphibious Bus, you’d see a mesmerising view of birds taking a swim in the water.
You can also catch a glimpse of Indus Dolphins, Otters, Spot-Billed Ducks and Mallards. The view is truly exquisite and will leave you surprised that you could catch such a beautiful sight close to your home!
This is a major leap for Punjab Tourism, as the Punjab Government further aims to also start the Amphibious Buses in Ropar and Bhathinda.
Total Time Required To Be Spent
Approximately, you’d need about 4 hours if you plan to go to Harike through Harike Cruise.
Plan your next weekend to Amritsar to make it memorable. You might also want to add the famous places to your trip, like the Wagah Border, that would fill you up with energy and patriotism, or the Golden Temple, where you can put yourself in peace.
Punjab is likely to attract more tourists in future which is bound to give a boost the its economy. If you have been to Harike, share your experience with us!
