Movies that made an impact
The first ever movies that left an imprint on the hearts of the people were “Satluj De Kande” and “Nanak Nam Jahaz Hai.” Both were released in the 1960s and are still remembered. Both were embraced nationally as well as abroad.

In the old times, many Bollywood actors like Dharmendra and Sunil Dutt played a range of roles. The modern Punjabi Cinema is entirely ruled by Punjabi actors. These Punjabi actors like Daljit Dosanjh and Honey Singh have also made a mark in the Bollywood.
Preeti Sapru ruled the Punjabi Cinema in the 1980s, while Neeru Bajwa rules the Punjabi Cinema now.
The comedians that made our eyes water from laughter in the old times was Mehar Mittal in movies like “Santo Banto” and “Jatti.”
While today we are made to laugh our worries off by actors like Jaswinder Bhalla and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
The old music never gets old and is still loved and longed by the people from every age group. Old songs used to be listened to by people for years and years on their radio sets.
And there’s no need to tell about how much is Punjabi Music loved today and the impact it has created on Bollywood.
