What is Rahigiri Day?
On Rahigiri Day, a no-car, no-bike time is celebrated from 5th March to March 19th. During this time, the residents can take part in various activities from 7 am to 11 am, every Sunday, in Sarabha Nagar Market. The activities that you might be interested in are like cycling, Zumba, Cycle Polo, Yoga, Aerobics, Kite Flying, Skating, Frisbee, Slow Cycle Races, Stunts and so much more!
History Of Rahigiri Day
Rahigiri Day, that Ludhiana would celebrate on 5th March, began in Gurgaon in 2013 with the aim to end the chaos of traffic and reduce the use of polluting vehicles. The event was a huge success and was appreciated by everyone. Hence, the idea of doing the same in Ludhiana came up!
